Easy, Romantic Fall Mantel Decor Ideas
Come see our fireplace mantel decorated with roses, greenery & twinkle lights for Fall, plus see dozens more Autumn mantel decor ideas from my blogging friends.
This year, I’m doing a lighter, more romantic take on Fall decor in our home. I love to experiment with colours and textures throughout the seasons, and in years past I’ve done all sorts of colour combos and feels for Autumn in our home.
This project is party of the Fall Seasonal Simplicity series hosted by Krista of The Happy Housie. I’m so excited to be joining dozens of other bloggers in sharing our Fall themed mantels and vignettes with you today. Make sure to head down to the bottom of this post after you’ve read it to see all of the other beautiful mantels decorated for Autumn! Make sure to go visit all of your favourite projects, and share them with your friends online!
I wanted to try doing more of a subtle, romantic decorating scheme this season. That meant toning down the colours and the amount of decorations I’m using throughout our home. For our mantel this year, I kept the accessories really simple: my DIY clock, a couple of vintage looking candlesticks, faux greenery and some copper fairy lights make a pretty but simple statement.
To keep all of the pink accents from looking too summery, I added a few small faux white pumpkins on the mantel (from the Dollar Store!) and a couple I had in my stash on the hearth.
The faux roses on the mantel are from Amazon (I’ve used them everywhere, including in my Fall wreath!), and these beautiful pink sunflowers are from Michaels last year.
I love how the copper fairy lights look woven throughout the greenery and flowers on the mantel, and you can find those on Amazon too. They’re battery & remote operated, so you can simply tuck the battery box under some greenery and turn the lights on and off via the remote.
One of the best parts about our Fall mantel area this year, was that I had a little buddy help me decorate – Little B! She was so excited to place flowers, pillows and pumpkins everywhere, and she even wanted to be in a YouTube video about the decor.
