Christmas Bedroom Decorating Ideas: A French Country Farmhouse Bedroom for the Holidays
I used to think it was going a little overboard to decorate your bedroom for Christmas, but now that we have a master bedroom that I’m madly in love with, I don’t think decorating it for the Holidays sounds silly at all! In fact, I thought it sounded so appealing that I grabbed my tabletop Christmas trees, all of my favourite faux greenery, and I got to work turning our master bedroom into a Christmasy wonderland. Here’s our French country farmhouse bedroom decorated for the season, plus some tips on how you can decorate your own bedroom for Christmas!
I don’t think there’s anything prettier than fresh or faux greenery at Christmas time. I used a lot of it throughout the rest of our home this season. (In case you missed it, you can see our whole Christmas home tour here.) If you can’t do fresh, use faux garlands and wreaths like I did here on our headboard. Use double sided tape to make sure everything stays in place – no one wants a garland on their head at 3 am!
I feel like our Hancock Park King Bed from The Brick was made for having a wreath right at its center! Doesn’t the wreath look darling here? I loved how it looked so much that we took our family Christmas photos on our bed. I can’t wait to show those to you!
Tabletop sized Christmas trees are also a nice addition to a bedroom during the holidays. I put one on each of our nightstands along with some other simple seasonal decorations like rose gold glass ornaments and more faux greens.
I’ve also used my shabby chic wrapped gifts as decorations everywhere this year – including here in the bedroom! They’re so inexpensive and simple to make, and they add a lot of festive glamour to the space.
And don’t forget about all of the extra cozy textiles piled on the bed and chairs to ward off the winter cold!
I’ve added a fuzzy fur throw to the bed along with some beautiful handmade wing pillows and plaid flannel sheets.
A tray of coffee and cake at the end of the bed would be the perfect indulgence on a Christmas holiday morning! You can find my recipe for my family’s German Crumb Cake right here, and I found this gorgeous galvanized mirrored tray in store at The Brick.
If I didn’t have to “adult”, I’d stay here all day! I hope you enjoyed my simple, farmhouse Christmas bedroom.
Now tell me: Do you decorate bedrooms for Christmas?

The ceiling is AMAZING!!
Is it birch wood? Or is it cedar wood? I’m dying to find out. Also, what’s the paint? Is it some kind of a waterbase? Thanks in advance!
