Classic Lake Cottage Kitchen Mood Board – Mom’s Lake House
As this year draws to a close, my parents and I are working on finishing a few major projects in their new home – Mom’s Lake House. We are very close to having them move in, and a couple of important rooms need to be done before then.
You might remember that we completely finished their beautiful master bedroom last month, and you can read more about that here.
The exterior is all done, and you can read about that here.
Now, we’re working on a BIG ONE. Can you see it? It’s going to be in the front left on this photo:
No? Can’t picture it yet?
It’s the KITCHEN! This space looks SO different from this photo already, and I can’t wait to show you. There’s drywall, paint, and flooring, and my parents are installing cupboards as I type.
This kitchen is going to be so beautiful, and I can’t wait until it’s complete. The look we’re going for is “classic cottage”, and the palette is going to be soft and serene like the master bedroom – greens, blues, greys and whites.
We’re so thrilled to be working with Maytag & The Brick for this kitchen design. We picked some timeless stainless steel appliances from Maytag that will look beautiful in this classic lake house kitchen, and even better is that they’re backed by The Brick’s exclusive Maytag 60 Day Money Back Guarantee. We really can’t go wrong with the beauty and practicality of these Maytag appliances!
We’re tying these gorgeous appliances into the design through brushed nickel hardware & fixtures, and those will contrast with the simple white shaker-style cabinets and classic marble-look counter tops. The driftwood flooring & stools will add beachy style to this lake house kitchen. A contrasting island in a light green-grey along with pops of warm blue in the textiles and appliances will also add relaxed nautical style & colour to this space.
Here’s what we have for a mood board so far:
- White shaker cabinet doors
- Brushed satin nickel cup pull
- Marble countertop
- Subway tile
- Warm white
- Warm grey
- Light grey-green
- Warm blue
- Turkish hand towel
- Glass pendant light
- Bray Accent Cabinet from The Brick
- Blue mixer
- Maytag French Door Refrigerator from The Brick
- Stainless steel kitchen faucet
- Maytag Built-in Dishwasher from The Brick
- Maytag Freestanding Gas Range from The Brick
- Oak Concerto Laminate Flooring
- Port Jackson Mirror from The Brick
