Our Colorful Fall Front Porch
Fall weather arrived here quite quickly. It’s suddenly really cold! The brisk air definitely makes me feel like decorating our home for Fall, so last week we cozied our porch up a little. Let me show you our porch’s Fall decor, give you some ideas on how you can decorate your outdoor space for Fall, and make sure to pop down to the bottom of this post to visit more Fall home decor tours from my blogging friends.
Here was how our porch looked this summer:
And here is our front porch decorated for Fall:
I’ve simply changed out the flowers and added in some deeper Fall colours through the throw pillows and accessories.
Our Gavle outdoor sectional from The Brick has held up beautifully since we got it in May. We’ve used it a TON, and by we I mean ALL of us – me and hubby, the kids, and the dogs. To give it a refresh for Fall, I simply vacuumed its cushions and cracks and wiped the cushions down with some fabric cleaner and a rag. It’s good as new!
A colourful and cuddly Fall throw adds some seasonal colour to the sectional, and some floral pillows and Fall faux greenery make the space look a little different without us having to spend a ton of money. The pillows were already in my decor stash!
I filled the containers on the DIY spool side table I made with hydrangeas from our garden, red clippings from our rosebushes, and some wheat from a field nearby. I love all of these natural, soft colours! Don’t forget about the value of grabbing handfuls of branches, twigs and flowers from your yard for some beautiful and inexpensive seasonal decor.
Just for fun, I was swapping around coffee tables in and out of the house and I tried our sitting room coffee table out here. I think it looks great with the Gavle! That’s another interesting thing to try if you want a different look in your home – switch around furniture that you already have and play with locations and pairings.
My great grandpa’s antique rocking chair and some burgundy Mums help make our porch look warm and welcoming. You can find the DIY for this rustic salvaged wreath right here.
Our front porch is all ready for Fall… and so is my little Ladybug photo-bomber!
