DIY Christmas Ornament: A Pipe Cleaner and Beads Snowflake (A Kid’s Craft)
It’s day three of DIY Christmas ornament week. In case you missed yesterday’s fabric & ribbon wrapped recycled ornaments, here they are. Today I’m sharing with you an easy little snowflake ornament made of pipe cleaners and beads. This is a fantastic kid’s craft and we’re going to make some for Little A’s Frozen birthday party coming up this weekend!
These snowflake ornaments are really straight forward to make. I found the idea here. (The link to the original site doesn’t work, but they were easy enough to figure out).
I cut some silver pipe cleaners in half, and then I twisted three together in the center to make a snowflake shape. Then, my daughters strung plastic pony beads on each side. Finally, I turned over about a 1/2″ of the end to keep the beads in place.
We tied a velvet ribbon to one of the folded ends and voila! We have a beautiful snowflake Christmas ornament for our tree that we made together. This is a fun winter day activity and my girls really enjoyed making them!
Come back tomorrow for another handmade Christmas ornament idea!
