A Gift in a Tin: Ice Cream Sundaes in a Tin
It’s day 3 of Gifts in a Tin week! In preparation for Christmas and simple and fun gift giving, I’m putting together some easy gift basket ideas for you. In case you missed yesterday’s Family Game Night in a Tin, here it is. Today’s gift basket idea? Ice Cream Sundaes in a Tin!
In this gift basket, I’ve used:
- a large tin basket
- a scrap of glittery red burlap fabric (for the wrapper around the tin)
- twine string
- an ice cream scoop (similar is here)
- chocolate syrup
- waffle bowls
- M&M’s candy
- mini chocolates
What are some other things you could include in a gift tin like this? What about napkins and sprinkles?

I used a scrap piece of glittery red burlap fabric to tie around my tin, but you could also use ribbon or a piece of scrapbook paper. I punched small holes in the tops of the round tags, and tied them around the tin handle with twine.
This gift in a tin would be a fun gift for a neighbor family, or for your kids!
Come back tomorrow for another unique gift in a tin idea!

Dear Christina,
I am doing a wedding shower for my future daughter in law. I love your gifts in a tin. I was wondering how I can print different tags and labels to suit my baskets. My shower is all tin and wood and black board. I will be using some of yours. The coffee, spa, moms day off. But need more. Have searched the internet and can’t find out how to do these. Any help would be appreciated. You’re blog is wonderful.
Congratulations on your family expanding and the upcoming wedding. Christina creates all her own graphics in Illustrator and/or Photoshop. If you don’t have access to those programs you can use Canva which is a free online program. It is very user friendly. You can check it out here 🙂 https://www.canva.com/create/labels/
