Make Easy Paper Roses from Dollar Store Streamers
Learn how to make easy paper roses from dollar store crepe paper streamers. This is a fun DIY project for both adults and kids alike!
This post is part of a paper flowers challenge that I’m taking part in with some other fabulous creators. After you read my post, make sure to check out the bottom of this entry to see what my friends created!
This craft was a happy little accident. Don’t you just love those?! I wanted to create some crepe paper flowers, but I couldn’t find crepe paper ANYWHERE locally. And I didn’t feel like spending a ton of money or time to buy it online.
Then, I had an idea. Why not try making flowers out of dollar store streamers? They’re made of crepe paper and so inexpensive. I couldn’t do giant fluffy peonies like I had first envisioned due to the narrow width of the streamers, but I thought some pretty little roses would be the next best thing!
All you need to make these is a roll of crepe paper streamers, some wooden BBQ skewers (I also found these at the dollar store), some glue (I used Aileen’s Tacky Glue) and some (optional) green ribbon to cover the stem.

Great idea! This is also a great way to use up streamers after you’re done with them. They’re so pretty. Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful paper flowers!
Happy spring, Kippi
Thanks!
was wondering if they need to be put on a stick. A friend of mine wants a headband with the paper flowers and I would like to glue the flowers on to the headband. Please Help, gracie ([email protected])
You could cut the stick when you have finished the roses. You could try also making them with a pipe cleaner.
