Welcome to our living room all decorated for Spring! You may be coming over from Homemade Lovely’s Spring home tour, so a special welcome to you!
This year, I wasn’t really in the mood to put out all the Easter bunnies, nests and egg decor that I sometimes do for Spring. I wanted to keep our home relatively simple and natural with budget friendliness in mind.
I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one feeling this way this year. We’ve collectively been through a lot over the past 12 months, and a lot of us are craving simplicity and need inexpensive decor ideas. With that in mind, here are some simple Spring decorating ideas for your living room that I hope you’ll love! I’ll be sharing other rooms in my home decorated for Spring soon, so please stay tuned for those.
Easy Spring Decorating Ideas for the Living Room
Incorporate Live Plants
As a proud Plant Mom, I can testify to the soothing property that live plants can bring into your home. Whether it’s forced bulbs, seedlings, or tropical house plants, try adding in more plant life to your living room for that fresh Spring feeling. I have this little corner of tropicals, and then I re-potted some more of my favourite plants to display on our mantel for Spring.
Display Free Vintage Botanical Prints
I love the look of vintage botanical prints, and framing some free ones you can find online is a budget friendly way to decorate for Spring. I love how this one looks on our mantel mixed in with fresh and faux greenery and flowers! Get this free printable botanical artwork right here.
Swap out Pillows and Throw Blankets
The oldest trick in the book – simply changing out your throw pillows and blankets – will make a world of difference in the look of your living room. I have all the same furniture in my space from Fall & Christmas, but swapping the heavier, darker textiles for ones that are lighter and more Spring-like changes the whole look. These floral pillow covers were a DIY from a few years ago and love how they have bits of pink and green in them.
I hope you found these Spring decorating ideas helpful and that they’ve inspired you a little this season! I’m truly looking forward to the fresh, new start that Spring brings – especially this year.
