Fall Home Tour 2020
It’s officially Fall! Here’s how I decorated our house for Autumn this year with touches of traditional and muted seasonal colours, and tons of budget-friendly DIY ideas. I hope it gives you some cozy Fall decor ideas for your own bedroom, living room, breakfast nook and porch!
This blog post is part of a seasonal blog hop – Seasonal Simplicity – hosted by The Happy Housie. Make sure to check out all of the other Fall home tours from my blogging friends linked at the bottom of this post!
Fall Bedroom Decor
Let’s start with the main bedroom! This year, I opted for a few DIY decor accents using IKEA products as a base. Small pops of burnt orange give the room a little colour while still maintaining a neutral scheme throughout.
This blanket was made by weaving orange and grey yarn through an off-white coloured IKEA throw.
You won’t believe how I made this pillow! It’s chunky yarn glued and tied to an IKEA down pillow insert.
Watch my YouTube video below to see how I decorated our bedroom for Fall and created budget-friendly IKEA DIY decor:
Fall Porch Decor
I think our porch is my favourite space this season:
We purchased some green, white and orange pumpkins from our local pumpkin farm at the end of August, and they were the inspiration for this traditional Fall colour scheme with a pop of blues and greens.
Real and faux greenery from summer decorates either side of our front door, and I made a wreath in orange and blue tones with faux flowers I had on hand.
I especially love how our porch looks at night. Weaving some fairy lights through the pumpkins and mums on the steps gives it such a beautiful glow!
Fall Living Room Decor
Our living room decor is quite simple this season with additional cozy blankets, pillows and nature-inspired decor on the mantel.
You can read all about our boho style Fall living room right here!
Fall Breakfast Nook Decor
Soothing tones of green and white keep our breakfast nook simple and natural looking for the season.
I love how the green in the chairs reminds me of crisp, green apples! The faux eucalyptus is from IKEA as is the table, mirror and white chairs. The velvet green chairs are from The Brick, but unfortunately they’ve been discontinued.
Fall Entry Decor
The simple Fall themes continue in our entry where I’ve set a velvet pumpkin and more faux eucalyptus on top of my IKEA shoe cabinets.
I love how fresh and clean this looks, and the cabinets have functioned so well for our family so far. You can find this full IKEA shoe cabinet hack project right here.
Thank you for coming along on a tour of our Fall home today! I hope you enjoyed it and got some inspiration for your own space.
