This autumn, I want to decorate my home in more neutral colours. As much as I love colours of all kinds, I’m craving the calmness that neutrals can bring.
This DIY Fall grapevine wreath is neutral with it’s creamy white and green tones, but it’s anything but boring!
It has a ton of texture from faux pampas grass and a variety of faux florals and greenery. It’s a mish-mash of elements I already had on hand, and I love how romantic it turned out to be!
Here’s how to make a romantic DIY Fall grapevine wreath
Start with an 18″ grapevine wreath base. I love grapevine wreath forms because they hold all of the faux florals so well and can be reused over and over again!
Curve two faux pampas stems to match the shape of the wreath base. Insert them into the middle left of the base, and tack them down with hot glue if required. You can buy faux pampas from Luxe B Pampas Grass here. (P.S. Use the code THEDIYMOMMY to get 20% off your Luxe B order from their website or Etsy Shop!)
Next, attach some larger flowers to the center left of the wreath, where the pampas stems meet. I stick the stem of my florals deep into the wreath and only use a small amount of hot glue as needed.
Now, layer in some smaller florals and faux pumpkins, tacking as needed with your hot glue gun. The goal is to have the majority of your elements on the center left section of the wreath and taper out from there.
Finish the wreath off by inserting and glueing down some faux olive branches at the top and bottom of the floral area…
… and add some faux fall leaves.
You can fill any bare spots in the wreath as needed with more smaller florals and greenery.
All done! Hang on your front door or use your DIY Fall grapevine wreath as a mantel centerpiece.
